Futaba R7206SB FASSTest 6-Channel S.BUS2 Receiver with Dual Rx Link

The Futaba R7206SB is a compact, high-voltage FASSTest aircraft receiver featuring six configurable conventional outputs, S.BUS and S.BUS2 connectivity, telemetry support, and Futaba's Dual Rx Link System.

Its bidirectional FASSTest communication allows compatible telemetry sensors to transmit flight information back to the transmitter through the S.BUS2 system. Configurable output modes allow the receiver ports to be assigned to conventional PWM channels, S.BUS, or S.BUS2 functions according to the installation.

Dual Rx Link System: The R7206SB can work with a second compatible Futaba receiver. If either receiver becomes unable to communicate with the transmitter, the system can continue operating from the receiver that still has a valid signal.

Key Features

  • FASSTest 2.4GHz System: Compatible with supported Futaba transmitters operating in FASSTest 18-channel or 12-channel mode.
  • Six Conventional Outputs: Provides up to six configurable PWM channel outputs for conventional servos and electronic speed controllers.
  • S.BUS Output: Supports multiple channel-assigned S.BUS servos and compatible S.BUS equipment through a single signal connection.
  • S.BUS2 Telemetry: Supports compatible S.BUS2 servos, gyros, tools, and telemetry sensors.
  • Dual Rx Link: Accepts signal data from a compatible secondary receiver for added receiver redundancy.
  • Bidirectional Communication: Returns receiver and compatible sensor telemetry data to a supported Futaba transmitter.
  • Dual-Antenna Diversity: Uses two antennas to improve signal reception when installed at the proper orientation.
  • Configurable Port Modes: Multiple channel-output modes allow the physical ports to serve different PWM, S.BUS, or S.BUS2 functions.
  • High-Voltage Compatible: Supports receiver power systems within a usable range of 3.5–8.4 volts.
  • Transmitter-Adjustable Battery Fail-Safe: The battery fail-safe voltage can be configured from a compatible transmitter.
  • Firmware Update Support: Receiver firmware can be updated using a compatible Futaba CIU-3 interface and the applicable update software.

Compatible Applications

  • RC airplanes
  • RC helicopters
  • S.BUS and S.BUS2 aircraft installations
  • Aircraft using an optional secondary receiver for signal redundancy
  • Telemetry-equipped aircraft using a compatible FASSTest transmitter

Weight: 0.30 oz. (8.8 g)
Protocol Compatibility: The R7206SB requires a compatible Futaba transmitter operating in FASSTest mode. It does not operate with FASST, T-FHSS, S-FHSS, or other radio protocols.
Connector Orientation: The servo and S.BUS connectors install with the ground wire toward the top of the receiver and the signal wire toward the bottom. Incorrect connector orientation may cause a short circuit or damage connected equipment.
S.BUS2 Port Notice: Connect telemetry sensors and compatible S.BUS2 equipment to an S.BUS2-configured port. Do not connect an S.BUS-only servo or gyro directly to an S.BUS2 telemetry port. Use the correct S.BUS output or the appropriate output configuration.
Servo Compatibility: Analog servos cannot be used when the receiver is operating in FASSTest 12-channel mode. Use compatible digital, brushless, or S.BUS servos in that mode.
Power-System Notice: Do not use dry-cell batteries. When powering the receiver from an ESC's regulated output, confirm that the BEC can safely supply the combined current required by every connected servo and accessory.
