Futaba R7208SB FASSTest 8-Channel S.BUS2 Receiver with Dual Rx Link

The Futaba R7208SB is a compact, high-voltage FASSTest aircraft receiver featuring eight configurable conventional outputs, S.BUS and S.BUS2 connectivity, telemetry support, dual-antenna diversity, and Futaba's Dual Rx Link System.

Its bidirectional FASSTest communication returns receiver and compatible sensor information to the transmitter. Configurable output modes allow the physical ports to operate as conventional PWM channels, S.BUS outputs, or S.BUS2 connections according to the requirements of the aircraft.

Dual Rx Link System: Connect an optional compatible secondary receiver to create an additional receiving path. If one receiver becomes unable to communicate, the system can continue operating from the receiver that still has a valid signal.

Key Features

  • FASSTest 2.4GHz System: Provides fast bidirectional communication with compatible Futaba FASSTest transmitters.
  • Eight Conventional Outputs: Provides up to eight configurable PWM outputs for standard servo and ESC connections.
  • S.BUS Output: Supports multiple channel-assigned S.BUS servos, gyros, and other compatible equipment over a single signal connection.
  • S.BUS2 Telemetry: Accepts compatible S.BUS2 telemetry sensors and returns their data to the transmitter.
  • Dual Rx Link: Supports an optional secondary Futaba receiver for added receiver redundancy.
  • Dual-Antenna Diversity: Uses two antennas to improve signal reception when installed at the proper orientation.
  • Configurable Output Modes: Allows the physical ports to serve different PWM, S.BUS, or S.BUS2 functions.
  • External Voltage Telemetry: Measures an external battery of up to 70V DC when used with the appropriate optional Futaba voltage-input cable.
  • High-Voltage Compatible: Operates with receiver power systems within a usable voltage range of 3.5–8.4 volts.
  • Adjustable Battery Fail-Safe: Battery fail-safe voltage can be configured through a compatible Futaba transmitter.
  • Firmware Update Support: Receiver firmware can be updated for expanded compatibility and new functions.

Recommended Applications

  • Sport, scale, and aerobatic airplanes
  • RC helicopters
  • Turbine jets and large-scale aircraft
  • S.BUS and S.BUS2 installations
  • Telemetry-equipped aircraft
  • Models using an optional secondary receiver for signal redundancy

Weight: 0.35 oz. (9.9 g)
Protocol Compatibility: The R7208SB requires a compatible Futaba transmitter operating in FASSTest mode. It does not operate with FASST, T-FHSS, S-FHSS, or other radio protocols.
Servo Compatibility: Analog servos cannot be used while the receiver is operating in FASSTest 12-channel mode. Use compatible digital, brushless, or S.BUS servos in that mode.
S.BUS2 Port Notice: Connect telemetry sensors and compatible S.BUS2 equipment to an S.BUS2-configured port. Do not connect an S.BUS-only servo or gyro directly to an S.BUS2 telemetry port.
External Voltage Notice: The external voltage port is a telemetry measurement input and does not power the receiver. Use the correct optional Futaba cable and carefully observe polarity.
Power-System Notice: Do not use dry-cell batteries. When powering the receiver from an ESC's regulated output, confirm that the BEC can safely supply the combined current required by every connected servo and accessory.
