The Seagull Models Art Scholl Pennzoil Super Chipmunk 99" is the ultimate expression of a true aviation icon in giant scale RC form. At nearly 100" of wingspan and powered by 60–76cc twin-cylinder gas engines, this aircraft commands the sky with the authority and presence that only a true 1/4 scale warbird can deliver. Precision-built from premium balsa and plywood with carbon fiber reinforcement throughout, working scale flaps, pre-installed LED navigation lights, and a sliding canopy hatch, this is a competition-grade aerobatic giant that's as stunning on the ground as it is in the air — finished in the iconic Art Scholl Pennzoil scheme.

✈️ The Art Scholl "Pennzoil" Story

Art Scholl was a three-time U.S. Aerobatic Team member, Hollywood stunt pilot, and one of the most beloved airshow performers of his era. He purchased his DHC-1A Chipmunk in 1968 and transformed it into the single-seat Pennzoil Special — shortening the wingspan, enlarging the vertical fin and rudder, and tuning it for full aerobatic competition. He flew it at shows throughout the 1970s and early ‘80s, often with his dog Aileron perched on his shoulder. This scheme is a tribute to one of airshow aviation's most celebrated pilots — and one of the most recognizable paint schemes ever to grace a Chipmunk.
