Few RC models carry a story as compelling as the Art Scholl Super Chipmunk. This 63" ARF from Seagull Models faithfully recreates the legendary Pennzoil Special — the modified DHC-1A that Art Scholl flew at airshows throughout the 1970s and early '80s, thrilling audiences with precision aerobatics and unforgettable showmanship. With functional flaps, a scale cockpit with pilot figure, and factory Oracover covering in the iconic high-vis color scheme, this is a model that performs as good as it looks.

✈️ The Legend of Art Scholl De Havilland originally designed the Chipmunk after World War II as a primary trainer to replace the Tiger Moth. Among the thousands of pilots who flew it was Art Scholl — three-time U.S. Aerobatic Team member, air racer, and Hollywood stunt pilot. Scholl purchased his DHC-1A in 1968 and transformed it into the single-seat Pennzoil Special, shortening the wingspan, enlarging the vertical fin and rudder, and tuning it for full aerobatic competition. He often flew with his dog Aileron perched on his shoulder — a signature that made him one of the most beloved figures in airshow history.
