Stinger 15cc RE Rear Exhaust Gas Engine
The RCGF Stinger 15cc RE brings gasoline power to compatible sport and scale RC airplanes in a compact, single-cylinder design. Its rear-exhaust configuration is useful for installations where a side-mounted exhaust would interfere with a narrow cowling, particularly on warbirds.
A Walbro carburetor and electronic ignition with automatic timing advance provide adjustable fuel metering and ignition control. The engine includes a muffler, ignition module, spark plug, and installation accessories.
Key Features
- Rear exhaust: An installation option for aircraft with limited clearance beside the engine.
- 15cc gasoline engine: Single-cylinder, two-stroke design.
- Walbro carburetor: Adjustable mixture settings for engine tuning.
- Electronic ignition: DC-CDI system with computer-controlled automatic advance.
- NGK CM6 spark plug: Uses a readily identifiable replacement plug specification.
- Air-cooled cylinder: Requires adequate airflow through the cowling.

Aircraft Compatibility
Choose this engine for aircraft whose manufacturer approves a 15cc gasoline installation. Check engine mounting dimensions, total installed weight, propeller clearance, rear muffler clearance, and center of gravity before purchasing. A rear-exhaust design can help with side clearance, but still requires adequate space behind the cylinder.
Fuel, Ignition, and Break-In
Follow the manual supplied with your engine for fuel-to-oil ratio, break-in procedure, carburetor adjustment, and ignition battery requirements. Check the voltage rating on the supplied ignition module before connecting power.
RCGF's current product page advises using a dedicated ignition battery rather than a BEC, iBEC, or uBEC. Provide adequate cooling airflow and follow the manufacturer's propeller and operating instructions.
