Battery Charging & Care
Proper charging and storage are essential for getting the best performance and longest life from your Power Unlimited LiPo battery.
- Always use a quality LiPo balance charger designed for 6S lithium polymer batteries.
- Charge in Balance Mode whenever possible to keep all six cells at the same voltage.
- Never leave a LiPo battery unattended while charging.
- Charge on a non-flammable surface and use a quality LiPo safety bag or fire-resistant charging container.
- If the battery becomes excessively hot while charging or immediately after flight, allow it to cool to room temperature before charging or using it again.
- Do not charge a battery that is swollen, punctured, damaged, or has exposed wiring.
- Inspect connectors and wiring before every use.
- Avoid over-discharging the battery. Most pilots stop flying when pack voltage reaches approximately 3.7–3.8V per cell under light load.
- For long-term storage, store the battery at approximately 3.8V per cell (Storage Charge) in a cool, dry location.
- Never short circuit the battery or expose it to water, excessive heat, or direct sunlight for extended periods.
