Cut a small slot for the center slider toggle pin to stand proud of your model's skin. To ensure long flying seasons without the locking pin wearing away or widening your canopy hatch's indexing hole due to engine vibrations, line the receiving hole inside the hatch framing using a short segment of thin-walled brass or carbon fiber tubing as a sleeve.
