Dualsky GA6000.8 180KV Brushless Motor

The Dualsky GA6000.8 is a powerful second-generation brushless outrunner motor developed for giant-scale RC airplanes in the 55–60cc class. Its 180KV winding is designed for high-voltage 10S–12S LiPo power systems and delivers the output required for large sport, 3D, aerobatic, and UAV applications.

Unlike the extended single-shaft GA6000.8S, the GA6000.8 uses Dualsky’s standard bolt-on propeller hub configuration. This makes it suitable for conventional giant-scale electric installations and gas-to-electric conversions that use the standard GA6000 propeller mounting arrangement.

Propeller Warning: Dualsky specifies the use of conventional gas-style propellers and states that electric-only propellers should not be used. Always verify the propeller manufacturer’s maximum RPM rating and monitor motor current, ESC temperature, battery temperature, and motor temperature during setup.

Installation and Setup Notes

  • Verify that the GA6000.8 standard propeller-hub configuration matches your aircraft and motor-mount arrangement.
  • Confirm adequate firewall strength and reinforce the airframe as required for the motor’s torque, power, and weight.
  • Use a 130A–160A HV ESC rated for the selected battery voltage and expected current.
  • Use batteries capable of safely supplying the required current without excessive voltage sag.
  • Begin testing with a conservative propeller and verify current using a wattmeter or telemetry system.
  • Do not exceed the 140A burst-current rating or the propeller manufacturer’s maximum RPM limit.
