Futaba R3008SB 2.4 GHz T-FHSS Air 8-Channel S.BUS2 HV Telemetry Receiver

The Futaba R3008SB is an eight-channel, high-voltage receiver for compatible Futaba T-FHSS Air 2.4 GHz transmitters. It combines eight conventional PWM channel outputs with S.BUS and S.BUS2 connectivity, allowing conventional servos, S.BUS equipment, and compatible telemetry sensors to be incorporated into the same aircraft installation.

Bidirectional T-FHSS Air communication sends compatible telemetry data back to the transmitter, while dual-antenna diversity helps provide dependable signal reception. An external-voltage telemetry port can monitor a separate aircraft battery or power system up to 70 volts DC when used with the appropriate connection lead.

Flexible Output Configuration

The R3008SB provides multiple selectable output modes. Depending on the selected mode, its physical ports can provide channels 1–8, selected higher-numbered channels, or a combination of conventional PWM and S.BUS output.

The receiver’s S.BUS connection can carry the channels supported by the paired transmitter. This allows more than eight functions to be used through compatible S.BUS equipment even though the receiver has eight conventional PWM output ports.

Telemetry Capability

Compatible Futaba telemetry sensors connect through the dedicated S.BUS2 port. Available telemetry functions depend on the transmitter and installed sensors.

The receiver also includes an external-voltage input capable of monitoring a separate voltage source from 0 to 70 volts DC. The appropriate Futaba external-voltage connection lead is required and is sold separately.

Protocol Compatibility: The R3008SB requires a Futaba transmitter operating in T-FHSS Air mode. It is not compatible with transmitters operating only in S-FHSS, FHSS, FASST, FASSTest, or surface-system T-FHSS modes.
Port Configuration Notice: The 8/SB port is configured as an S.BUS output by default. Do not connect a conventional servo to that port until the receiver’s channel-output mode has been correctly changed. Connect only S.BUS2-compatible devices to the dedicated S.BUS2 port.
