Futaba R7214SB FASSTest 14-Channel S.BUS2 Receiver with Dual Rx Link

The Futaba R7214SB is a high-capacity FASSTest aircraft receiver designed for complex airplanes and helicopters requiring numerous conventional servo connections. It provides up to 14 configurable PWM outputs along with S.BUS, S.BUS2 telemetry, dual-antenna diversity, and Futaba's Dual Rx Link System.

Bidirectional FASSTest communication returns receiver and compatible sensor data to the transmitter. Multiple output modes allow the receiver's configurable ports to serve as conventional channels, S.BUS, S.BUS2, or digital outputs based on the requirements of the installation.

Ideal for Complex Aircraft: With up to 14 conventional outputs, the R7214SB can accommodate aircraft with numerous control surfaces, retracts, doors, lighting controls, ignition systems, and other channel-operated equipment without requiring a separate S.BUS decoder.
Dual Rx Link System: The R7214SB can work with a second compatible FASSTest receiver. If either receiver becomes unable to communicate, the system can continue operating from the receiver that still has a valid signal.

Key Features

  • FASSTest 2.4GHz System: Provides bidirectional communication with compatible Futaba FASSTest transmitters.
  • Up to 14 Conventional Outputs: Accommodates aircraft that require a high number of conventional PWM channel connections.
  • S.BUS Output: Supports channel-assigned S.BUS servos, gyros, hubs, and other compatible equipment.
  • S.BUS2 Telemetry: Accepts compatible telemetry sensors and returns sensor information to the transmitter.
  • Dual Rx Link: Supports an optional secondary FASSTest receiver for additional signal redundancy.
  • Dual-Antenna Diversity: Uses two antennas to improve signal reception when installed at the proper orientation.
  • Configurable Port Modes: Allows port functions and channel ranges to be changed for different aircraft installations.
  • External Voltage Telemetry: Measures an external battery of up to 70V DC when used with the appropriate optional Futaba voltage-input cable.
  • High-Voltage Compatible: Operates with receiver power systems within a usable range of 3.5–8.4 volts.
  • Adjustable Battery Fail-Safe: Battery fail-safe voltage can be configured through a compatible Futaba transmitter.
  • Firmware Update Support: Receiver firmware can be updated using supported Futaba equipment.

Recommended Applications

  • Complex scale and giant-scale airplanes
  • Turbine jets and large warbirds
  • Aircraft with retracts, gear doors, lighting, and multiple control surfaces
  • Airplanes and helicopters using S.BUS2 telemetry
  • Aircraft requiring an optional secondary receiver for signal redundancy

Weight: 0.67 oz. (19.0 g)
Protocol Compatibility: The R7214SB requires a compatible Futaba transmitter operating in FASSTest mode. It does not operate with FASST, T-FHSS, S-FHSS, or other radio protocols.
Servo Compatibility: Analog servos cannot be used while the receiver is operating in FASSTest 12-channel mode. Channels 11 and 12 operate as DG1 and DG2 in that mode. Use compatible digital, brushless, or S.BUS servos where required.
S.BUS2 Port Notice: Connect telemetry sensors and compatible S.BUS2 equipment to an S.BUS2-configured port. Do not connect an S.BUS-only servo or gyro directly to an S.BUS2 telemetry port.
External Voltage Notice: The external voltage port is a telemetry measurement input and does not power the receiver. Use the correct optional Futaba cable, observe polarity, and power the receiver before connecting the external voltage source.
Power-System Notice: Do not use dry-cell batteries. When powering the receiver from an ESC's regulated output, confirm that the BEC can safely supply the combined current required by every connected servo and accessory.
