Futaba TM-18 900MHz RF Module with R9001SB AdRCSS Receiver
The Futaba TM-18 and R9001SB set adds a parallel 900MHz backup control path to a compatible Futaba 2.4GHz aircraft radio system. The transmitter continues communicating with the aircraft over its normal 2.4GHz connection while the TM-18 simultaneously transmits an additional AdRCSS signal on the 900MHz band.
Inside the aircraft, the included R9001SB receiver connects to a compatible primary Futaba receiver equipped with Dual Rx Link. If the primary 2.4GHz control signal is interrupted, the aircraft can continue receiving control information through the separate 900MHz path.
How the System Works
- The Futaba transmitter sends its normal 2.4GHz signal to the aircraft's primary receiver.
- The TM-18 simultaneously sends a separate AdRCSS control signal over the 900MHz band.
- The included R9001SB receives the 900MHz signal inside the aircraft.
- The R9001SB supplies its signal to the compatible primary receiver through the Dual Rx Link connection.
Key Features
- Parallel 900MHz Backup Link: Adds a second RF control path alongside the aircraft's normal Futaba 2.4GHz connection.
- AdRCSS Communication: Uses Futaba's Advanced Radio Control System for the sub-GHz band.
- Up to 16 Control Channels: Supports a maximum of 16 control channels through its serial receiver connection.
- Separate Frequency Band: The backup link operates on 900MHz rather than sharing the primary system's 2.4GHz band.
- Dual Rx Link Integration: The R9001SB connects to a compatible Futaba primary receiver equipped with Dual Rx Link.
- S.BUS Signal Output: The R9001SB delivers serial control-channel data without requiring individual PWM outputs.
- Compact Aircraft Receiver: The thin R9001SB is easy to position separately from the primary 2.4GHz receiver.
- FCC-Compliant US Module: The US-market TM-18 includes an FCC identification label above the module's standard product label.
