Gator RC Safe Arming Plug Kit
Add a convenient external safety connection to your electric RC airplane.
The Gator RC Safe Arming Plug Kit allows you to connect the flight battery while keeping the power system electrically disconnected. Insert the removable arming plug only when you are ready to energize the model.
The receptacle mounts to the outside of the fuselage, providing easy access without reopening the battery hatch or canopy. Removing the arming plug breaks the power circuit, helping reduce the risk of an unintended motor start while handling or preparing the aircraft. This kit is available with 10 AWG, 12 AWG, or 14 AWG high-flex silicone wire and your choice of a Red or Blue anodized aluminum mounting base.

Important: Match the wire gauge to your aircraft's existing battery and ESC wiring. Hardware color options include Red or Blue anodizing.

🔧 Factory Installation Instructions
- Select a mounting location on the fuselage that will allow the user to safely connect and disconnect the arming plug.
- Use the aluminum backer plate as a template to trace out the center hole and the screw locations to be cut out.
- Solder the female T-plug to the red (positive) wires running from the battery plug to the ESC, and fully shrink-wrap the completed solder joint.
- Slide the female T-plug through the aluminum backer plate, then pass the female T-plug through the hole in the fuselage that was just cut.
- Insert the female T-plug into the aluminum base and secure it tightly with the set screw. Do not over-tighten the set screw.
- Insert the aluminum base into the fuselage hole and use the two mounting screws to attach the aluminum base firmly to the internal aluminum backer plate.
