The JP Hobby Combined Retract Controller is an all-in-one control module designed specifically for JP Hobby ER-150 electric retract systems. It combines retract control, gear door sequencing, and integrated brake control into one compact controller for cleaner wiring and reliable operation.

This ER-150 version is factory configured for JP Hobby ER-150 retract systems. During initial installation, connect all three retract units and cycle the landing gear three complete times. The controller will automatically identify and store the locked-rotor current of the retract motors, optimizing operation for your specific retract system.

V1 vs V2 Door Operation

• V1 Mode: Gear doors remain open while the landing gear is extended.
• V2 Mode: Gear doors automatically close after the landing gear extends.

Initial ER-150 Setup

1. Connect all three ER-150 retract units to the controller.
2. Power the controller using a 2S LiPo battery.
3. Cycle the landing gear three complete times.
4. The controller automatically measures and stores the locked-rotor current of the ER-150 retract motors.

This initialization process configures the controller specifically for your ER-150 retract system and helps ensure smooth, reliable operation.

Gear Door Programming

Each of the three gear door channels can be configured independently for both position and servo direction.

V1 / V2 Position Setup

1. Press and hold the Mode button for approximately 5 seconds.
2. The red LED indicates V1 setup mode.
3. Press the Mode button again to switch to V2 setup mode (blue LED).
4. If no button is pressed, the controller automatically advances to the next channel.
5. After all three channels have been configured, setup mode exits automatically.

Servo Direction Setup

1. Press and hold the Mode button for approximately 10 seconds.
2. The controller enters servo direction programming mode.
3. Press the Mode button to reverse the selected gear door servo direction.
4. The controller automatically advances to the next channel after several seconds.
5. When all three channels have been configured, setup mode exits automatically.
