JP Hobby ER-150 V1 Tricycle Retract Sequencer (HV)
The JP Hobby ER-150 V1 is a precision electronic sequencer designed to manage the deployment of tricycle electric retract systems. This high-voltage (HV) control box serves as the "brain" of your landing gear, ensuring perfect timing between your gear doors and retract mechanisms. Engineered for aircraft utilizing the ER-150 series retracts, this Version 1 controller is a lightweight, reliable replacement for pilots who do not require integrated wheel braking.
⚠️ Version 1 Sequencing Logic
Logic Style: This Version 1 controller is programmed to keep the gear doors OPEN when the landing gear is in the down position.
Critical Warning: Servos used for gear doors MUST be High Voltage (H.V.) type. Using standard voltage servos will result in immediate failure.
Key Features
- Streamlined Sequencing: Automatically coordinates the movement of two main gears, one nose gear, and two dedicated door servos.
- HV Compatible: Optimized for 2S LiPo input (7.4V - 8.4V) to provide maximum torque to your retract motors.
- Ultra-Lightweight: Weighing only 22g, this unit is perfect for airframes where weight management is critical.
- Simple Setup: Plug-and-play operation using a single gear channel from your receiver.
- Compact Design: Measuring only 10mm thick, it easily fits into tight electronic bays and fuselage compartments.

💡 Gator-RC Modeler’s Tip: Powering for Performance
Because this unit handles both the gear doors and the main retract motors, we recommend using a 2S LiPo with at least a 1000mAh capacity. This ensures the unit has enough "burst" current to cycle all components simultaneously without sagging the voltage.

ER-150 Sequencer vs. ER-150 Brake Controller
Choose the right "brain" for your JP Hobby retract system based on your airframe's weight and braking requirements.
| Feature | ER-150 V1 (Sequencer Only) | ER-150 V1-B (With Brakes) |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Function | Gear & Door Sequencing | Gear/Door Sequencing + Wheel Braking |
| Integrated Brake Module | No (Requires separate brake unit) | Yes (Built-in) |
| Logic (Gear Down) | V1: Doors Stay Open | V1-B: Doors Stay Open |
| Weight | 22g (Ultra-Lightweight) | 50g |
| Thickness | 10mm (Slim Profile) | 21mm |
| Best For | Prop planes or jets with manual/no brakes | Turbine & EDF Jets using JP Electric Brakes |
💡 Decision Tip:
If you are already using JP Hobby electric wheels with brakes, the ER-150 V1-B is the cleaner choice as it eliminates the need for an extra brake control box. If you are flying a lighter airframe without brakes, the ER-150 V1 saves you space and half the weight.
