MPI 6973 Arming Switch with EC3 Connectors
The MPI 6973 Arming Switch provides a convenient external connection point for safely arming and disarming an electric RC airplane. It features heavy-duty 12 AWG wire, EC3 battery and ESC connections, and a removable Anderson Powerpole arming key.
Install the receptacle in an accessible location on the fuselage and connect the assembly between the flight battery and electronic speed controller. The aircraft’s main power circuit remains disconnected when the arming key is removed. Inserting the key completes the circuit when the aircraft is secured and ready to operate.

How It Works
- Mount the black receptacle in an accessible location on the aircraft’s fuselage.
- Connect the arming-switch assembly between the flight battery and ESC using the EC3 connectors.
- Leave the Anderson Powerpole arming key removed while transporting or preparing the aircraft.
- When the aircraft is secured and ready, insert the arming key to complete the power circuit.
- After operation, remove the arming key to disconnect the circuit.
