The Castle Creations Phoenix Edge 160HV is a premium high-voltage electronic speed controller designed for demanding giant-scale airplanes, EDF jets, and large electric aircraft. Supporting up to 12S LiPo operation (50.4V max) and delivering 160 amps continuous power, the Edge 160HV combines legendary Castle reliability with advanced telemetry, data logging, and programmable AUX functions.

⚠ Important Opto ESC Operation Note: This unit does not include a BEC. A separate external receiver power source (such as a dedicated receiver battery pack or a high-voltage external BEC) is required to power your electronics. Battery and motor connectors are sold separately.

💡 Modeler’s Tips

To achieve the specified 160A rating safely, ensure your aircraft's cowling has an active air duct or cooling scoop directed right over the ESC heatsink fins. If your airframe has restricted airflow internal areas, consider mounting the ESC closer to the forward fire wall or reducing continuous full-throttle loading cycles.
