The Gator RC  Nylon Pin Hinges are precision-molded hinges designed for larger RC aircraft control surfaces. Featuring a durable nylon construction and a permanently retained hinge pin, these hinges provide smooth movement, reliable control response, and long service life.

The large 20mm length x 36mm width size makes them ideal for ailerons, elevators, rudders, flaps, and other control surfaces found on sport, aerobatic, scale, and giant-scale aircraft. Multiple mounting holes on each side provide excellent glue adhesion and secure installation in wood, composite, and many foam aircraft applications.

💡 Modeler’s Tips & Installation

Before epoxying these hinges into your model's trailing edges, apply a tiny drop of light machine oil or petroleum jelly directly to the center pin pivot knuckle. This prevents stray epoxy from wicking into the hinge joint and freezing the mechanism. Use 30-minute slow-curing epoxy or polyurethane glue so the adhesive can squeeze cleanly through the molded holes, creating a series of solid rivets inside the wood framing once cured.
