Two Installation Methods

Secraft M6 Aluminum Wing Bolts can be installed using either of two proven methods. Choose the installation technique that best fits your aircraft and building preference.

Method 1 – Standard Assembly (Recommended)

1. Apply a small amount of medium-strength threadlocker to the threaded stud.
2. Thread the stud into the aluminum wing bolt.
3. Allow the threadlocker to cure completely (approximately 5 hours).
4. Install the completed wing bolt assembly and hand-tighten securely.

This is the recommended installation method for most aircraft and creates a permanent wing bolt assembly that's ready for repeated installation and removal.

Method 2 – Custom Fit Assembly

1. Apply a small amount of medium-strength threadlocker to the threaded stud.
2. Install the wing onto the aircraft.
3. Adjust the threaded stud until the correct amount of thread extends through the wing.
4. Thread the aluminum wing bolt onto the stud and tighten to the desired position.
5. Allow the threadlocker to cure for approximately 5 hours before flying.

This method allows you to customize the thread engagement for your specific aircraft, ensuring a precise fit and professional installation.
